As I walked through the gates of
Fox Lake Farms early
Saturday morning on a crisp April morning I could hear a load of noises.
The ducks quaked loudly in the pond, while
the hens clucked loudly in their pens and the dogs
barked loudly waking their
owners.
As I walked through the
pasture
the cool crisp April air brushed my face filling my body with chills.
As I walked through the stables prior to
letting the horses run the scent of horse manure filled the morning air with a
strong odor.
After starting the day with
letting the horses run, cleaning and refilling water buckets, passing out
hay
and feed it was nice to sit down by the rippled water of the pond and enjoyed a
nice glass of lemonade.
The
lemonade was
slightly tart to the
tongue but went down so smoothly after working long and
hard on the barn. From
shoveling stalls my arm muscle burned in
immense pain as
I finished with the last two stalls.
After all
Fox Lake Farms was a great experience which opened my eyes to a whole new
world.
